Another year has passed – Thank you for the cooperation in 2019

With highlights such as the 20-year anniversary, new CEO, ministerial visit, trip to Budapest, growth and visions for the future, 2019 can be described as yet another eventful year for FRECON. We thank you for the cooperation in the past year and look back on a busy 2019.

The year 2019 has offered several highlights. Read further as we take you through the year that has passed:

Ministerial visit and senior policy

The year began with a distinguished visit by then Minister of Employment Troels Lund Poulsen (V), who had shown great interest in FRECON’s senior policy and growth. During the visit, the minister was particularly enthusiastic about the company’s East Jutlandic profile, great efforts within the field of renewable energy and unique partnership between the owners Frederik Rytter and Leif Christoffersen.

ISO 9001:2015 certification and increased focus on quality

On the same day in February, auditors were ready to examine FRECON employees. A busy day that culminated in an ISO 9001:2015 certification with zero deviations. The certification supports FRECON’s continued focus on good quality services that will improve the customer experience and ensure thorough internal and external processes across all projects.

New projects, customer segments and colleagues – and CFD as strategic focus area

2019 has in many ways been a year that has brought progress and new challenges to FRECON’s customer and project portfolio. Major projects within renewable energy include the collaboration with BLAEST on the development of a new blade test rig and the project with “Mr. Windpower” Henrik Stiesdal on thermal energy storage – a collaboration that won the award as the Innovation Project of the Year at the annual meeting of Energy Innovation Cluster in May.

FRECON’s competencies within Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) has been a strategic focus area that has truly come into play across industries and projects in 2019. Particularly FRECON’s interdisciplinary experience and versatility have equally meant retainment and expansion of customer segments in everything from wind turbines and process equipment for the food industry to calculation tasks on leisure- and garden equipment.

With many exciting projects coming our way, we have welcomed 12 new employees in 2019 – including several new colleagues to our offices in Esbjerg and Tommerup on Funen. At FRECON, we are now a dedicated team of 32 men – want us to optimize your mechanical solutions in the new year?

20-year anniversary and a new visual identity

August 2019 marked FRECON’s 20th anniversary. On this occasion, FRECON’s two owners Frederik Rytter and Leif Christoffersen were invited for a talk about the FRECON culture, which is characterized by strong professionalism, knowledge sharing and collaboration, quality awareness and high ambitions – all of which are crucial in our striving to deliver the best customer experiences. At FRECON, we would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all the congratulatory messages, for the good cooperation and for the exciting projects during the first 20 years. We are ready to take on 20 more years!

On the same occasion, FRECON also developed a new logo and website. The new visual identity will support FRECON’s remarkable development from a one-man business in the wind turbine industry to an engineering consultancy with expert knowledge in mechanical solutions across industries.

Trip to Budapest and strategic goals for the future

In October 2019, four days of teambuilding and professional activities in Budapest awaited the three offices from Horsens, Esbjerg and Tommerup. During the trip, we worked on common strategic goals and value sets, and we also managed to squeeze in a visit to Audi’s 5.2 million square meters of production facilities. In addition to new professional impressions, the trip to Hungary’s capital offered rifle shooting in an old bunker, medieval-inspired dinner and a Michelin-recommended restaurant experience. Both employees and management were thrilled with the outcome of the trip, which helped ensure continuous progress and maintenance of the team spirit that characterizes the culture of FRECON.

New vision – we have a dream about fulfilling your dreams

At FRECON, we have a dream… about COOL FREEDOM. The FRECON Dream, as our new vision is called, became a reality on the trip to Budapest, but has been in the making for a long time, since it represents the values and culture that have characterized us for many years. COOL FREEDOM is not just about FRECON’s vision for the future, but also about shaping and fulfilling our customers’ dreams – and we look forward to living out the vision in upcoming projects and collaborations.

Claus Mølgaard Jensen is our new CEO

After a brief period as Acting CEO, Claus Mølgaard Jensen officially assumed the position as CEO in FRECON A/S. This happened after Bo Birkemose in October undramatically resigned his position as CEO in FRECON to seek new challenges. Since 2017, Claus Mølgaard Jensen has been Sales Director in FRECON and as part of the management team, he has had great influence on the growth and strategic development of the engineering company.

Thank you for the cooperation in 2019 – and see you in 2020

At FRECON, we look back on 2019 with joy and humbleness over exciting customer projects, development and growth. We are honored to be able to contribute with our competencies in the past year and greatly appreciate the close collaborations that come from it.

We wish all customers and business partners a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We look forward to new exciting projects and to seeing you again in 2020.
