Senior policy aroused the minister’s interest in east jutlandic engineering company

Minister of Employment, Troels Lund Poulsen (V) visited on Monday afternoon the engineering house FRECON. The meeting was prompted by the Minister’s interest in the company’s senior policy, but also the company’s profile, growth, and great efforts in the field of renewable energy.

It was with great surprise and excitement when the 30-man engineering house FRECON earlier this year received a request from the Minister for a visit and a company presentation at the company’s headquarters in Horsens N.

The minister’s request came after Knud Aulkaer Andersen, Senior Consultant in FRECON, was in the Ministry of Employment in 2018 to share his experiences of being involuntarily unemployed at the age of nearly 60 and the experienced obstacles of the job search process, which Knud, despite 35 years of engineering experience and great competencies, had encountered in both business-life and at the public job set-up. At this visit, Knud also told the Minister about his new  position in the engineering house FRECON and the company’s positive attitude towards hiring seniors.

At the beginning of January 2019, the Employment Minister Troels Lund Poulsen (V) contacted FRECON for a company visit based on the interest in the company’s profile, growth and engineering projects.

Great energy projects, knowledge transfer, and the unique partnership

During the visit, the Minister showed enthusiasm of the company’s participation in Stiesdal’s projects on thermal storage of energy and wind turbine foundations, in where the engineering company contributes with computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulation and thermal calculations. Moreover, the Minister was inspired by the engineering firm’s great success in transferring mechanical design and calculation experience between different industries such as Wind, Food, and Medico and in the great synergy exchange between the young consultants and the senior consultants.

Troels Lund Poulsen (V) was also curious on the flat management structure and the complementary professional partnership between the two partners Leif Christoffersen, 60, and Frederik Rytter, 46, which he found unique and inspiring.

Bo Birkemose, CEO of FRECON:

“It is great that the Minister of Employment Troels Lund Poulsen (V) finds Stiesdal’s projects as inspirational as we do, and that he also notes the great passion for engineering on which FRECON’s history and management structure are based. It is rare that you see partners being 100% dedicated to engineering and customer projects, and thus have full confidence in leaving the leadership with others who has the passion and talents for that matter.”
