We are ready to help you with our extensive experience of working with different materials, such as composite materials, aluminium, steel, castings, and plastic. Our mechanical designs cover many different purposes and industries, e.g. wind turbines, special machines, automation, medical devices, transport equipment, safety equipment, test equipment, production and installation tools, and components, e.g. for cars, boats and buildings.

CLOSE AND EFFECIENT INTEGRATION
At FRECON, we have developed a close integration between the design and calculation software for the optimisation of complex structural components. This means we can quickly carry out many calculation iterations, which at the same time optimises the technology, shape and thickness.

This method can be particularly valuable to you.
For example, we have costed out projects where this approach has enabled us to reduce material thickness further than would have otherwise been possible given the process, time, and budget. Thus, significant savings were achieved, making a measurable difference to production costs and in large parts of the value chain.

3D/2D design

We work with all phases in a production development process, from outlining, visualising, and 3D modelling to the finished production basis, consisting of 2D drawings, BOMs, manuals, etc. We are experts in building skeleton models, parametric design, surface modelling of advanced surfaces and auto generation. We draw using:

  • Creo Parametric
  • Siemens NX
  • Autodesk Inventor
  • SolidWorks
  • Autodesk
  • AutoCAD or an equivalent CAD program as desired

To support the creation of valid and consistent documentation, we work with PLM/PDM applications such as Windchill PDMLink, Teamcenter and MDOC and other systems.

Supply of prototypes

In collaboration with a strong network of talented subcontractors, we also supply prototypes. For example, we supplied a frame made of steel and composite material for a wind turbine, a safety guard made from composite material for a nacelle, transport fixtures for special components weighing 50–65 tonnes, an assembly fixture for wind turbines, lifting yolks and different tools for production.
