In FRECON we have almost 20 years of experience in construction processes and in optimizing de- sign in regard to product costs, competition, and time-to-market. Hence, we know the importance of a close integration in design and calculation.

However, in FRECON we have not found the excisting integration solutions efficient enough for neither workflows nor cost savings for the customer. There- fore our experienced CAD specialists have come up with a unique and efficient integration solution for the heavy and advanced 3D designs and calculations.

Our FRECON solution is a highly efficient integrati- on solution between CAD programs and simulation software (e.g. PTC Creo and ANSYS), which ensures our customers solid financial savings and raises the standards in processes of structural optimization.

As a result, it provides a shorter and far more efficient turnaround time with a highly optimized product in terms of strength, weight, and price. Examples on customer’s solid cost reductions

In one of our customer project we used our integration method to change the shape of a nacelle cover. By reducing the cover from 6 mm glass fiber to 4 mm glass fiber, our customer got a significant cost reduction and a more competitive product.

A highly efficient workflow

In FRECON’s integration solution we use Siemens NX and Creo Parametric for design and ANSYS for simulation and calculation. By integrating the CAD programs and our simulation software, we get a highly efficient workflow, which means that our calculators will not have to import a new 3D model every time new calculations are to be made. The close integration ensures, that we can quickly and efficiently make a calculation when changing the design.
