Design Engineer Troels Taulbjerg Kristensen is truly committed in every way, both when collaborating with FRECON’s customers on design projects and when cultivating his passion for water sports as co-founder and chairman of Aarhus Watersports Complex.
Troels started on February 1st at FRECON’s head office in Horsens, and he is already well underway with several different customer projects.
“To me, it is alpha and omega to create valuable results on the projects I work on. They must be led with great care, and I like to get involved to get to the finish line safely,” says Troels.
Troels’ drive was tested, when he and a couple of friends started Aarhus Watersports Complex in 2016. It took a lot of determination and good arguments to get the right permits from Aarhus Municipality – partly for establishing the first cable park for wakeboarding in Aarhus, and partly for expanding the facilities to include other watersports activities in Bassin 7 at Aarhus Ø.
Engineer with business mindset
“The establishment process and the general management of Aarhus Watersports Complex have, among other things, taught me that it is important to think of all stakeholders in a project and to stay focused on the goal. To expand my knowledge in this field, I have supplemented my education as a mechanical engineer with a specialization in business development (business engineer),” says Troels.
“My skill set of knowledge and experiences benefit the daily collaborations with customers on design and concept development as well as Aarhus Watersports Complex. It’s cool when the things you ‘test out’ and learn from in your free time, can drip positively on the professional interaction with customers and colleagues at FRECON.”
